Say what now?

In thinking about the events unfolding around us locally, statewide, nationally, and even globally, I thought it would be appropriate to start a "Captain's Log" of sorts. One article that stuck with me today is about the Zodiac and how things are "changing". I logged into my Facebook today to find many of my friends vowing their allegiance to their beloved Zodiac sign. Curious about what was causing the uproar, I went to msn.com to find out what was going on. I started reading an article that said that a major Minnesota paper had "discovered" a one-month gap in the Zodiac. When in truth the Zodiac which we follow here in the western civilizations is a tropical zodiac, meaning it adheres to the seasons rather than which constellation the sun is in at any given point in time. Which means that last week when I considered myself a cancer, I was right and nothing has changed this week. Also, if we are expected to go by the constellation that the sun was in on the morning that we are born, then I am sure that any person who currently identifies themselves with a particular sign is still that sign. I was born a cancer, I will die a cancer.

But enough on my thoughts, what are your thoughts and ideas on the topic? If your sign is supposed to change will you embrace it wholeheartedly or are you going to vow your allegiance like so many of my friends?
